Easy and effective ways to deal with aging hair

Nobody can escape the part of aging; it is an inevitable process that everyone has to go through at some point. While the first signs of skin aging start to appear after the age of 25, the first signs of hair aging are noticed in the mid-30s or early 40s. Your skin isn’t the only one to get affected by the aging process, your hair is also equally affected. But the thing is no one really pays attention to their aging tresses, pretty much every woman diverts all their focus to their skin and does everything in their power to keep the signs of aging at bay or reduce their appearance. This isn’t how you should be dealing with the aging process.

Your aging tresses need as much care and attention as your aging skin, therefore, it’s essential to build a proper hair care routine for your mane just like you do for your skin. just like using anti-aging serums and creams will help keep your skin youthful and prevent the appearance of signs of aging, there are a couple of things that you can do for your aging hair, which in turn, will keep premature graying, thinning, and dryness at bay.

Apply oil to your tresses (thinning)

As we grow older, our hair starts to lose its elasticity and becomes quite fragile. This, in turn, results in issues like hair breakage and thinning. One of the best and easiest ways to prevent these hair woes and strengthen your locks is by oiling your mane twice a week. You can find a wide range of hair oils in the market, but when it comes to preventing hair thinning, you should look no further than avocado or coconut oil. Massaging your hair with either of these hair oils will help nourish and strengthen your hair, thereby encouraging hair growth.

Use mild shampoo (dryness)

UV rays exposure, excess pollution, certain hair care habits are some of the common reasons for dry and damaged hair, but there’s one more thing that leaves your dry hair even drier and damaged, and it’s none other than your harsh shampoo. When it comes to cleansing the scalp and hair properly, most shampoos do a wonderful job, but a lot of them are also known to rob your scalp of natural oils in the process, thereby leaving your mane dry. Therefore, you should always stick to using a mild shampoo to wash your hair and make sure that it doesn’t contain any harsh ingredients like silicones, parabens, etc.

Apply hydrating conditioner (dullness)

Lack of proper conditioning can leave your hair dull and lackluster. One of the main reasons why your hair looks so lifeless is failing to use a conditioner or not using the right amount of it. Aside from making sure to use a hydrating conditioner post every hair wash, you also need to make sure that you are using a conditioner from the same range as your shampoo for better results. Using a conditioner from another range will deliver an extra boost of moisture and shine to your locks but it won’t be able to do as wonderful job as a conditioner from the same range.

Use a deep conditioning mask (coarse hair)

Using a deep conditioning mask every once a week can help make a big difference to your mane. If you have coarse hair, then the best way to tackle it is by using a deep conditioning hair mask. Apart from using your regular conditioner, you should also use a deep conditioning hair mask to deliver an extra boost of hydration and nourishment to your locks. You can either use a store-bought hair mask or make one at home with the help of ingredients that are readily available at home.
